I’m here on a lovely Sunday morning down by the docks area in the city of Toronto and I want to take a moment to tell you why I chose to represent Re/Max Hallmark.
You know, when I started my real estate career, I thought working for a small independent brokerage would make me look unique and strengthen my game. Boy, was I wrong. Without the Re/Max brand behind me I was at a serious disadvantage, both when it came to listings and to helping my buyers purchase real estate. You know, when a cool listing came on the market, I would get lumped into the same category as all the other buyers, competing with other buyers, multiple offer situations, bidding wars, a lot of times we didn’t get the job done. I asked myself, how can I get ahead of the game? How can I find out about these listings before they come on the market?
Well, I took a look around and I said where are all these listings coming from? They’re coming from Re/Max agents. You know, Re/Max agents sell one out of every three properties in the city and the entire country and there’s a reason for that. It’s the strength of their network. Now, when I’m at an office meeting, I can find out about all the listings coming out the next day before they come out. I can ask my colleagues, I’m looking for this, these specific things, do you have something coming on the market like that and they can tell me yes or no and then I’m prepared. My buyers are ready and we can go in and sometimes get these listings before they come on market. And when I started looking at Re/Max brokerages, I decided I wanted to be with the best of all of them and that’s why I chose the Hallmark brand.
You know, Hallmark is the number one brokerage in the city for quite a few years running and there’s a reason for that. Hallmark has the best agents, hands down. People that really know real estate, that want to sell their properties for the best price, use Hallmark agents. You know, discount brokerages are a really popular thing nowadays. These are guys that set up fly-by-night artists that will tell you, “We’ll sell your place for $500.” You give them $500, they throw you on the MLS, you never hear from them again. You know, I hear from a lot of people that that’s a really popular way to sell real estate, yet I don’t see any of those discount brokerages in the top. Re/Max Hallmark is always number one. It’s because of the quality of their brokers and the quality of their clients. People who know real estate and want a proper job done call Re/Max Hallmark because they want the best. That’s why I joined Hallmark and that’s why I’m doing better today than I ever have.
